Spotsylvania has there Star Spangled Spectacular the Saturday before the Forth so this past weekend we got to enjoy fireworks! After a nice afternoon with friends, family (so glad Steph & Jacob came to visit!) and lots of eating we walked to the fireworks...with a little excitement along the way!

As we got our things ready to walk down to the fireworks, Ben brought our folding chairs in the house. They are the ones in the bags. They were sitting in our living room and a gray mouse crawled out of them! Short story shorter...between Ben, Jacob & a pellet gun, the mouse did not make it out alive. Ben noticed that it was a momma mouse so they took the chairs outside to to look further. Sure enough there was a nest with 4 babies. They were too small to survive, but the kids were pretty excited to see baby mice...Mommy passed on holding one...
When we got down to the festival our first stop was the firetruck...
Then the pony rides!!! They kids were so excited that they got to ride a horse!
Once we found a nice spot to sit, it was time to play...
And then the fireworks!
