July and August have been full of travel and fun! I'll be updating with some back post to July and August to share our adventures with you. I'm starting with this weekend and our trip to VA Beach!
We drove through buckets of rain and when we arrived on Friday there was still some lingering rain...
But the kids were excited to see the beach!
We enjoyed the beach from the hotel porch and then headed to dinner...no beach tonight but we'll be ready for beach in the morning!
Beach time! We started closer to the water, but as the tide rose we had to move back. The Daddies decided it was time to dig a trench to keep the water at bay...what fun it was to play!
The water and waves were a hit with everyone. Zachariah decided he wanted to try out the boogie board...here we go!

After lunch Daddy & Zachariah took a nap and Olivia and Mommy took a walk along the boardwalk. We found some delicious cupcakes to sit and enjoy :)

We watched some others build a castle and when they left we commandeered it! Zachariah enjoyed playing in it so much.
But as the tide came in, the castle washed away...Zachariah was heartbroken...
So the team got together and built a bigger and better one! Both families joined in and played castle for the rest of the morning :)
It was a wonderful trip to the beach!
